employ Patent Pending technology to achieve new levels of performance. Sub-micron

stability and digital control ensures accurate and repeatable profiling in less than a minute.

A simple, yet highly flexible user interface makes the ÅngströmPol suitable for R&D and

Production applications. The operator simply selects the desired profile geometry, enters

values for the associated angles, and presses GO. In less than a minute, the newly polished

fiber tip is moved to the inspection position. The ÅngströmPol can be configured with for a

wide variety of options to meet the needs of any application.

• Preprogrammed for conical, angled flats and chisels for “out-of-the-box” operation

• Ultra-stable, automated system produces > 99% yield at rate of up to one part per minute

• Dynamic menu system adapts to current machine state and prompts user accordingly

• Brushless motors means no brushes to replace; bearings are sealed

• Unique fiber guide prevents degeneration of fiber tensile strength associated with micro-cracks induced by

ferrule guides in other polishing systems

• Automatically accommodates any fiber with diameter between 80 and 250 microns

• Usage of polishing papers is maximized by dithering fiber position in non-overlapping concentric pathways
