ME9100/9300
Optispec Portable Probe Scope
Manufactured by Micro Enterprises Inc., the ME9100 Series Video Microscopes are designed
for inspecting fiber optic connectors through bulkheads. These instruments are equipped
with a specially designed, extra long working distance objective that allows the operator to
inspect the end face of a fiber optic connector while mounted inside a system.
Function in Design
Two magnifications are available to inspect backplane connectors in different types of
systems. The ME9100 and ME9300 scopes have a straight optical path with an optional 90
degree tip to inspect “hard to reach” behind the wall connectors.
Image Centering
All models are equipped with centering mechanisms allowing the operator to center the
core of the fiber on the display or inspect the surrounding ferrule for contaminates and defects.
LED Illumination
All models utilize near ultraviolet LED illumination to increase resolution of fine scratches. Providing over 100,000
hours of light, the LED will rarely need replacing or adjustment. A side mounted knob provides light intensity
control.
Quick Change Adapters
A variety of adapters are available for inspecting jumpers, front plane, and back plane connectors. All models may
be equipped to inspect universal 2.5mm connectors, small form factor connectors such as LCs and MUs, and even
multiple fiber connectors including MTRJ, MTP, and MT ferrules.
